Heheh, yeah, they want to make it as "realistic" as possible! I'm almost sure they wouldn't be really happy until they could shoot at each other! Why is it that just the people in the South do this? You don't see people in NYC reliving the Civil War! I secretly believe they want a do-over so this time the South can win.

Oh hell I'm not so sure. Gettysburg has one of the biggest around. This is a union based town. These idiots dress up and actually walk the streets like they are celebrities or something. Not to mention the confederate re enactors are always bitchin about how they are treated here because they are confederates. I get a chuckle out of it all. I personally have never been to a re enactment or ever plan to. But I do agree with you about the south still being pissed off about it. Every white southerner I talk to either has a stupid YANKEE comment or tells me how the south will rise again. LOL I have a few black customers in the south and I have yet to hear them bitch about the outcome of that war.

Heheh, I've never known a re-enactor (and never hope to), but I have heard some people I know from the south refer to it as "the war of Northern aggression."

I know enough history to know that it wasn't ALL about slavery (most of the authors of the Constitution owned slaves), but it's a simple fact that Africans WERE brought here unwillingly to work on southern plantations. It's also a fact that they were treated very poorly (even by those who treated them well). It's also an unfortunate fact that many modern southerners don't see anything wrong with flying the confederate flag over government buildings.
