Christina Aguilera WIP 4
about 2 and a half hours on this part-

Adding the details and trying to bring midtones in on the hair. I find this part very laboring. I actually chose this reference pic mainly because the hair looked complicated (stupid me hahahah )

Again sorry about the quality of the pic, used camera to post this.

So far 7 1/2 hours in this project. Still keeping my fingers crossed still.

Thanks sweetie! I am not entirely happy with the hair down low on her shoulder. The bottom curl. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Wish me luck :D BTW your new project looks awesome. I really like it. :hug:

hehe Thanks. The hair looks good to me!! I dread doing hair!! i still have to finish my one of david Tennant! all thats left is the hair!! Is it hard to do?

It has its moments. I read alot of tutorials and came to conclusion that you have to start with finding your midtones then add your shadows. (i do this by squinting) Remembering not to try and draw each strand. Hair is in sections not individual strands. (like curls or lochs) this was my biggest obsticle to over come. My second obsticle was to take my time. Thats why if you read the comments on the WIP I note how long each session took and then give a total of how long I spent this far. (boy I got a little long winded there LOL)

:shakefist: I will convince you yet that there is absolutely nothing wrong with your work! OMG I can draw..but I can only do that. You my friend, capture. Even with a pencil. I can't begin to draw that detailed and soft and awesome with a pencil. I made nice grades in HS and College but I am not near your league in it. :winner: :+favlove: and that is a true statement. not just because you encouraged me. BTW thank you dearly sweetheart. :cuddle: for everything.

Thank you very much. I am my harshest critic. This drawing is an absolute mile stone for me. I have overcome alot of fears. (Hair-I was always scared of it- and I grew up in the 80's)
